Lucky Number Oct / Nov 11

Siang Cho Keong Temple Lucky 4D number (Oct/Nov 2011). Good Luck !

SIANG CHO KEONG Temple

This temple is located right beside the Amoy Street Hawker Centre and a small archway marked Ann Siang Hill Park.

It is a small temple built between 1867 and 1869, guarded by two carved stone lions. Carved Stone Lions flanking a building’s entrance are symbols of protection, while red ribbons tied around their necks are believed to attract good luck and prosperity.

The temple worships a mix of Buddhist and taoist deities, including the "Tua Pek Kong" (Chinese God of Prosperity). The most interesting thing about this temple is probably the wishing well located to the left of the entrance. It is a small 'dragon well' where people can drop a coin and make a wish. It can get crowded during lunchtime as devotees visit the temple to offer incense or come to pray. White-collared workers have been known to visit this temple to seek predictions about job prospects and security from divinity sticks.

On every 1st Lunar day of the month, the temple would reveal a Lucky Number which is said to be quite accurate and has helped various lucky devotees to strike numerous windfall !
